Katharine is currently treating a recently discovered glass plate inter-positive image of Abraham Lincoln. It's an iconic image of Lincoln as a young lawyer in Chicago in 1860 and is widely regarded as one of the images that won him the presidency. The plate is broken into 26 pieces and Katharine is in the process of repairing it. She has done extensive research and experimentation to determine the best course of treatment.
